INVITATION TO BID FOR THE REDESIGN AND RECONSTRUCTION OF THE WEST AFRICAN MONETARY INSTITUTE’S WEBSITE

1. Background
The West African Monetary Institute was established in December 2000 by the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the five West African Member States (The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Nigeria and Sierra Leone) forming the West African Monetary Zone (WAMZ) in December 2000. Liberia subsequently joined the Zone in 2010. The Institute’s overarching mandate is to undertake preparatory activities towards the launching of a monetary union for the (WAMZ).
The Institute is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified individual/firm to redesign and reconstruct its website into a modern dynamic website to be used as a major tool for sensitization.
2. Scope of Work
The Web designer’s main tasks will be to:
• Redesign and reconstruct the website for the West African Monetary Institute (WAMI).
• Create a French version of the website based on content delivered through a hyperlink or any other means.
• Undertake other specific tasks as stated in the terms of reference (TOR) for the project.
• Ensure the inclusion of some technical features in the new website as enshrined in the TOR.

3. Work plan –
• The Institute would decide how to host the website. Solution providers are to state their hosting capabilities.
• The website would be updated regularly by the organization and, as such, the design should facilitate easy updating in a uniformed way.
• The web designer would be encouraged to make use of his/her expertise and creativity to propose and implement relevant website enhancements.
• The solution provider will work remotely through a secure high-speed reliable internet Connection (SSH/RDC).
• The content and features of the website during construction should be available at all times as draft at: https://xxxxxx-xx.org (to be determined by the solution provider). This will enable the WAMI WEB Committee to make comments at all times.

4. Key Deliverables

 Fully redesigned and tested website in both English and French
 All related source files/codes and other technical documentations.

5. Qualification/ Profile
• Solution Provider should have a University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, preferably with a specialization in web design.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in designing user-friendly, visually- attractive and modern websites (including their graphical Components) following web design standards and making appropriate use of Web 2.0 technologies.
• The firm should possess the requisite technical skills in designing a modern website.

6. Requests for Expression of Interest
The West African Monetary Institute invites eligible and qualified consultancy firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services, giving a description of similar assignments undertaken, experience with similar organizations in similar environments and conditions, evidence and familiarity with international organisations, among others.

Prospective applicants may obtain detailed Terms of Reference, key deliverables and specific tasks as well as any other relevant information from WAMI using the contact address provided below.

8. Selection of Consultants
The consulting firm will be selected in accordance with international best practice.
Only shortlisted candidates would be consulted.

9. Submission of Expression of Interest
Expression of Interest clearly marked “Expression of Interest for Consultancy to undertake the Redesign and Reconstruction of WAMI Website” can be submitted as hard copies at the address below not later than February 28, 2020 at 4.00pm.
